The World Community Grid, hosted by IBM allows millions of computers to join their idle time for the benefit of humanity. Similar to the SETI@Home project and Folding@Home, WCG focuses on human proteome folding and fighting AIDS. All three project run on the same client (BOINC) which is available for both the Linux and Windows platform.
